We invite you to join us for a roundtable discussion regarding SP member sustainable material goals and potential opportunities for further collaboration in this area through SP.

For several years SP's Sustainable Materials Work Group has provided a forum to promote collaboration amongst automotive manufacturers and suppliers to increase use of sustainable practices, processes, and materials in the production and content of vehicles, and to incentivize sustainable innovation.

Most recently, the work group had focused attention on opportunities to develop straightforward common definitions of key terms related to sustainable materials to minimize duplication of effort and promote consistent approaches in communications with suppliers, sustainability reporting and measuring industry progress.

However, going forward member feedback suggests there may be new / additional opportunities for collaborative efforts related to sustainable design guidance opportunities, engaging procurement and engineering on sustainable materials topics, addressing challenging to recycle materials, and/or other topics.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide a forum for members to discuss current sustainable material goals / challenges and consider new opportunities to work together to address shared priorities going into 2024.
