Tour of Li-Cycle Alabama Spoke Operations
SP member Li-Cycle's Alabama Spoke is located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Per Li-Cycle: the "facility utilizes Li-Cycle's 'Generation 3' technology, ensuring a safe, more sustainable process to efficiently recycle full electric vehicle battery packs. Our process uses a submerged shredding method that does not require the dismantling or discharging of batteries. The Alabama Spoke is strategically located to support the recycling needs of Li-Cycle's growing customer base in the Southeastern U.S."
This tour will begin at 2:30PM Central time on April 24 and is expected to conclude by 4:30PM. This will be a guided walking tour of the Spoke operations, along with presentation and interactive Q&A discussions. Tour space is limited, be sure to register early.
Please note this tour is intended for manufacturers and service providers in the SP membership with an interest in battery recycling. Due to confidentiality concerns, companies working directly in the battery recycling industry are restricted from visiting the site and such companies will not be able to join this tour. Please contact SP with any questions.
